Presentation
All Cabin Safety Passenger Briefing cards are designed not only to comply with, but to exceed all appropriate government regulations. We’ve worked extensively with many regulatory agencies throughout the world. That helps keep us on the cutting edge of introducing new procedures and regulations on our products, often before governmental regulation changes require such changes to be implemented.
All of our cards are designed using a “graphic” presentation of equipment and procedures. Research has shown that use of clear illustrations, rather than extensive written text or photographs, is more effective in portraying vital information and increasing passenger recall when needed. Furthermore, our graphics are based on photographs to ensure accuracy or true appearance.
Cabin Safety cards use limited color. Test results clearly indicate extensive use of colors in particular illustrations can be distracting. That’s why we use color to accent a needed movement or action. That way, only necessary color is added to an illustration to draw the reader’s attention.
Each subject area is distinctly separated and all emergency exits are color-coded. Further, each card is “color-coded” to insure proper placement on a particular aircraft or aircraft type.
Materials & Sizes
All Cabin Safety Passenger Briefing Cards are printed on 10 pt (“Carolina” or similar) coated stock for better durability and appearance with lamination available at an additional charge. Smaller orders (primarily for executive aircraft, helicopters and air taxi aircraft) are produced on a laser printer and laminated for durability.
Normally, the layout for Cabin Safety cards is with two folds. This format serves a dual purpose: First, the “triple thickness” of the folded card increases strength of the card. Second, in its folded format, the card size is the most practical for all seatback storage dimensions.
Our tri-fold cards are available in two standard sizes, but sizing can be customized to your needs. When folded, they are the optimum size for aircraft storage locations (seatback pockets, etc.).
The standard dimensions are as follows:
11″ high x 5.75″ wide: Ideal for standard airliners
8.5″ high x 4.5″ wide: Ideal for small commuter/regional, executive, private and light aircraft
Optional Lamination
All Cabin Safety cards are also available with lamination (1.5 mil, 3.0 mil, or 5.0 mil) for an additional charge.
